📢 Maryland Registers the Nation's First AI Project Management Apprenticeship, Sponsored by Master of Project Academy

On September 8, 2026, the Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Council registered the first Registered Apprenticeship in the United States dedicated to AI Project Management, with Master of Project Academy as the sponsor (MATC Program #2575).

The two-year, earn-and-learn program trains the people who own that last mile of AI deployment. Apprentices join participating employers as full-time W-2 employees from day one, so they're paid to learn instead of paying tuition. The program pairs 4,000 hours of mentored on-the-job learning with 340 hours of related instruction (259 of them AI-specific), anchored to PMBOK® 8.
