PMI PDU Requirements

If you have a certification from PMI (Project Management Institute), PMI expects you to earn PDUs in every three years to renew your certification and keep "good standing".

Each PMI certification has different PDU requirements. If you have one of the PMP®, PgMP®, PfMP® or PMI-PBA® certifications, you will have to earn 60 PDUs every three years to renew each of these certifications.

If you have CAPM® certification, you will have to earn 15 PDUs in every three years to retain your certification.

If you have CAPM® certification, you will have to earn 15 PDUs in every three years to retain your certification.

You can earn PDU hours either from Education or Giving categories. There are maximum and minimum limits of these categories for each certification. You will learn details of the PMI PDU requirements once you enrolled in this Free PDU training.

How to Submit Earned CAPM PDUs

Once you earned PDU hours, you should submit them in your PMI profile to record in the CCRS. You will learn how to submit your earned PDU hours step-by-step with our PMI PDU submission guide.
