When should I start submitting CompTIA CEU to renew my certification?
As soon as you earn your CompTIA certification, submit any events or activity in that earn CompTIA CEU hours. Many certification holders wait until too close to their CompTIA expiration date, and try to complete all their required CompTIA CEU hours in just a couple of months or even weeks!
CompTIA is rigorous for these certification holders and your CEU submissions may not be accepted – so we advise against leaving it until your final month before renewal.
How can I submit my earned CompTIA CEUs?
Once you complete a course, you can submit your earned CompTIA CEU hours in the online system of CompTIA. You will be able to login to CompTIA profile and submit your earned CEU credits.
What should I do after I complete CompTIA CEU Hours?
After you complete CEUs in your three-year renewal cycle, you must apply for CompTIA renewal in your profile page.
How much does CompTIA certification renewal cost?
There is an annual CEU submission fee for CompTIA certification. Annual CE fee is $25 for CompTIA A+ certification and $75 in total for three-year renewal cycle. For other CompTIA certifications (Network+, Security+, Linux+, Cloud+, PenTest+, CySA+ and CASP+) annual CE fee is $50, and $150 in total for three-year renewal period.
You can pay this fee online directly to the CompTIA using a card to complete your renewal process.
Can I fulfill my CompTIA CEU hour needs for free?
There are free courses or free events (e.g. webinars, conferences etc.) that you can attend and gain CompTIA CEU hours. However, completing all 60 CompTIA CEUs for FREE will be tough especially if you are a working professional.
